Do you find tanned skin to be especially attractive?

The general notion is apparantly that people find tanned skin more attractive. I personally don't at all. I think a girl looks best when she's pretty pale or maybe just slightly tanned.





But there are just so many girls I see around, especially at university, who clearly tan so often and it just looks sickening to me. It looks so unnatural and their faces look like they are made out of leather. And you can see quite clearly that they are going to get skin cancer by the time they are 40 without a doubt.





So for anyone, do you find tanned skin to be important in a person's attractiveness, guys or girls?





I wonder if this is just a stereotypical idea and doesn't really hold true in reality? But the countless tanning salons around town and the girls with their bright blue eyes shining out beyond dark brown skin speak otherwise. I just can't understand the attraction. To me it's just unattractive in addition to how unhealthy it is.

I totally agree with you, even if they do not get skin cancer they will look 70 when they are 40 years old, I know a few people like that.

yes as long as the person doesn't take it too far and look orange or like the old lady in "something about mary"

Reply:I personally don't think it is. But then again I am a very pale redhead (of Irish decent) and I can't tan to save my life so maybe I am biased on the subject. But I don't think looking orange, or all brown and leathery is attractive at all. I usually doesn't look natural.

Reply:me too. i like pale skin on me. but i actually get a real tan from P.E. %26amp; where I live in California is near the Tropic of Cancer.


its very disgusting but i dont know why my friends like it. they say they want to glow. I rather just wear a high spf sunblock w/a whitening cream to have my pale arms %26amp; legs back.
Reply:I don't think so, it is not important at all! You should look and percieve the personality of a person what she or he is. You can't find the attractiveness of a person in his skin colour but his personality, which matters most!
