Skin pigmentation?

i have a few small areas of skin that are really dark and very noticable compared to the rest of my skin. Dr's said to look something up on the internet but i can't find anything to lighten pigmentation that people say actually does work! Anybody had any success with lightening dark patches? how? Also is there anything natural i could use as well instead of chemicals although i don't mind chemicals if you don't know of anything else!!

I know in CVS or Walgreen, carry bleaching cream to helps fade dark area. I use it all the time...But it take awhile until it affective like 2 to 3 weeks. It call Esoterica an it in the face cream department. But remember to find one that say for Daytime, if you out in the sun alots... Well i hope it helps!!
Reply:What kind of Dr. tells their patient to look it up on the internet??? Change your doctor #1. #2 it may be some type of skin fungus (not harmful). To find out if it is fungus: go into a dark room and flash a black light on the area. If the infected area glows then it is fungus. Then you need some cream or shampoo from a REAL doctor.

Reply:i dont no any natural remedies but i am trained in Crystal Clear ( microdermabrasion ) which before i done the cause was a bit sceptical about it but can honestly say i have seen really good results on my clients who have acne scarring and pigmentation dissorders. I had one lady who had a dark patch one one cheek and on one side of her jaw line and she had a course of 6 treatments and the difference was brilliant. The good thing is with this facial is it is not painful. It can be on the expensive side at our salon it is 拢45 for a deluxe facial but have a look for a salon near you who do this facial as some salons will do it cheaper for you by just doing the crystal part of the facial which is the part that helps with the pigmentation

Reply:Hiya, i have the opposite to you i have white patches on my skin, started last summer, i was told by my doc that it was vitiligo,are you pale coz you could try a tanning cream to blend, Just be careful if you were thinkng of getting stuff off net coz it would probably be expensive, and may not even work? does it get worse when you have been in the sun? im surprise you doc wasn't more helpful, you could always try the red cross, ive been told that they do make up that may help you cover you dark bits, your doctors should have the number for them!
