Skin on one knee hot?

I have had 2 knee surgeries this summer. And my doctor told me to watch for skin temperature changes. The skin on the knee that I had the surgery on is ALOT hotter than the other. What does that mean?

OK, when was the last surgery on the knee that is hotter? if it has only been a few days or a week, then I wouldn't worry about it because it is just healing. But if it has been longer, it might be infected, and need to be drained. He told you to watch for skin temperature changes for a reason. If it is hotter, go back to the doc quick.
