the side of my feet, the back of my ankle, my knees, and my elbows seems to have a VERY dry skin which is so dry is is white in apperance. I cannot stress how dry this is. The skin is quite gritty in texture and basic skins creams such as Vasoline Intensice Care dont do anything to it.
Does anybody know what is happening, and is there any recommendation to what I should do to help end this.
Your answers are highly appreciated.
Extremely dry skin on joints?
You might have psoriasis or something else. You're right, ordinary creams and lotions will not treat what you are describing. If it's something more than just ordinary "dry skin", it may be an auto-immune disorder that a dermatologist should look at.

my pleasure! I sincerely hope it gets better :) Report It
Reply:Vaseline is petroleum jelly. It will actually make your skin worse. Most moisturizers contain alcohol, mineral oils or petroleum products. These can cause major damage to the skin and cause a drying effect.
You need an oil free cream. I would recommend you get the Hydrating Creme Extreme from Bee-Luscious Cosmetics (just do a Yahoo search for them). It will actually be absorbed and not damage your skin.
Reply:sounds like eczema, its frustrating but not serious illness or anything.
